GREENSBORO, N.C. - Seven Atlantic Coast Conference coaches or student-athletes have been honored with regional awards for the 2008 NCAA Division I Indoor Track season, as was announced Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Among the honorees is head coach Bob Braman, who has led the Florida State men's program to six-straight ACC Indoor Track titles and a No. 3 ranking this year, and Virginia Tech Director of Track & Field Dave Cianelli, whose women have claimed two-straight league championships.

Leading all ACC schools with two honorees each were Virginia Tech and Clemson. In addition to Cianelli, who was named the Southeast Region's top head coach, Virginia Tech's Brittany Pryor was selected as the Southeast Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year for the 2007-08 season. Pryor, who took first-place in both the weight throw and shot put at the 2008 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships, is a provisional qualifier in both events heading into next week's NCAA Championships.

On the men's side, Clemson's Mitch Greeley and Charles Foster were chosen as the top Field Athlete and Assistant Coach, respectively, for the Southeast Region. Greeley holds the school record in the pole vault after clearing 18'1" earlier this season. Foster, in his ninth-year at Clemson, has coached sprinters Travis Padgett and C.J. Spiller to two of the top five 60-meter times in the nation this season.

Also earning recognition from the USTFCCCA for this season's efforts were North Carolina's Brianna Felnagle, who was named the Southeast Region's top track athlete on the women's side, and Georgia Tech assistant coach Nat Page, who was selected as the South Region's top assistant. Felnagle, the reigning NCAA outdoor champion in the 1,500-meters, is a qualifier in both the mile and the 3,000-meters for 2008, while the Yellow Jackets' Page was chosen for his coaching contributions in the jumps and hurdles.
