The reigning NCAA singles champion follows two other ACC student-athletes who have been recognized twice for the league's weekly honor this season. Devvarman, who ranks as the nation's No. 1 singles player, recorded a 3-0 mark at the top position in both singles and doubles action as Virginia swept both No. 37 Virginia Tech and No. 41 Georgia Tech, 7-0, and defeated No. 61 Clemson by a 6-1 count. The senior from Chennai, India, posted victories over a pair of ranked opponents, defeating 55th-ranked Albert Larregola of Virginia Tech (6-1, 6-1) and 72nd-ranked Guillermo Gomez from Georgia Tech (3-6, 6-2, 6-3). Devvarman also notched a 6-2, 6-4 win against Clemson's Carlos Alvarez. Devvarman paired up with Treat Huey to extend their doubles winning streak against ACC opponents to 17 straight, dating back to the 2007 season. The top-ranked tandem in the nation defeated both Virginia Tech's Larregola and Nicolas Delgado de Robles and Georgia Tech's Scott Blackmon and Ryan Smith, 8-2, and shut out Clemson's Ike Belk and Derek DiFazio, 8-0. The Cavaliers are back at home this weekend, playing host to Miami on Friday, Mar. 28 at 3 p.m. and to Florida State on Sunday, Mar. 30 at 1 p.m.
