![]() Maryland's Dobbie and North Carolina's Taylor Tabbed ACC Women's Lacrosse Co-Players of the Week April 8, 2008 GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland's Dana Dobbie and North Carolina's Kristen Taylor share this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors after helping their respective teams dominate a pair of common opponents last week. Dobbie, who was tabbed for the weekly honor for the second time, helped Maryland extend its winning streak to nine games with a pair of wins in the ACC/American Lacrosse Challenge in Chapel Hill, N.C., last weekend. In Friday's 12-11 triple overtime win versus , the senior scored a pair of goals, added an assist and secured a season-high 10 draw controls. She then followed up with a huge performance against Ohio State, scoring five of her six goals in the first half, adding two assists, 10 draw controls, four ground balls, and caused two turnovers. The midfielder from Guelph (Ontario), Canada, closed out the week leading the Terps in goals (8), points (11) and ground balls (5). A native of Manlius, N.Y., Taylor tallied 11 points on 10 goals and one assist as North Carolina dominated Ohio State (22-12) and Penn State (14-9) at the ACC/ALC over the weekend. She had a career-high six goals and added an assist on the game-winning goal in Friday's win over Ohio State. Against Penn State on Sunday, the sophomore attacker had a team-high four goals, two ground balls, a draw control and two caused turnovers. Both teams will wrap up their conference schedule this Saturday, as Maryland returns to Chapel Hill for the second straight week to face North Carolina in a 7 p.m. meeting. -ACC-
