Garden City, N.Y. - Juniors Edward Ege (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) and Rachel Ray (Rocky Point, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of March 17, 2008.

Ege helped the Panthers to a 2-0 week, totaling 18 points on six goals and 12 assists. In a 21-8 win over Mars Hill Ege handed out eight assists and scored four goals, while putting two goals past Bentley's goalkeeper in a 11-7 win. He also picked up four assists against Bentley.

The Panthers return to action on March 21 when they play host to St. Michael's at 1:00pm at James M. Shuart Stadium on the campus of Hofstra University.

Ray helped Adelphi remain undefeated in women's lacrosse action, posting eight points in a 14-12 win over fourth ranked Mercyhurst. Ray scored three goals and had five assists in the win.

Adelphi returns to action on March 22 when they travel to Lakewood, New Jersey to take on Georgian Court at 12:00 pm.
