Garden City, N.Y. - Freshman Richard Byrd (Central Islip, N.Y.) and junior Lisa Manetta (Glendale, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of February 26th.

Byrd combined for a total of 32 points and six assists en route to a 2-0 week against Queens College and Dowling. In the two games, he made all eight free throw attempts while shooting 6-13 from the three point line.

The Panthers return to action Wednesday, February 27, as they take on the Purple Knights of Bridgeport. The game is scheduled for 7:30pm at Historic Woodruff Hall.

Manetta had a strong week as she helped her team go 2-0 against Queens College and Dowling. She posted a combine 33 points and eight assists. She shot 4-7 from behind the arc and sunk all four of her free throws against Queens.

The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, February 27, when they play host to Bridgeport at 5:30 pm.
