Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University junior Robert Paccione (Bayside, N.Y.) and senior Dely Francisco (Haverstraw, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of March 31, 2008.

Paccione Hit .526 over a six-game week (10-19) and slugged .684, helping the Panthers to wins over conference opponents Concordia and Dowling. He also stole four bases, picked up 10 hits, scored two runs and drove in two, picking up a double and a triple on the week.

Baseball returns to action on Wednesday, April 2 when they play host to Pace at 3:30 pm on William J. Bonomo Memorial Field.

Francisco hit .465 (20-43) with 13 runs scored on the week. She slugged .605, went 13 for 14 in stolen base attempts and added 13 putouts with one assist and no errors. She posted an in-the-park home run in her first at bat against Dominican. With 21 stolen bases so far this season, Francisco has already tied her single season best set back in 2006.

The Panthers are back in action on April 3 as they host Post University in a non-conference doubleheader at 3:00 p.m.
