Center Valley, PA - The Adelphi University track and field team traveled to Center Valley, Pennsylvania on April 19 and 20 to compete in the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) outdoor championships. The women took home three CTC titles and placed fifth overall with 73 points, while the men's 48 points placed them 10th.

The women were led by Danielle Lyons and Ify Anene, who each won individual CTC titles. Lyons captured the 800 meter title with a time of 2:21.22, while Anene took home the 5000 meter title, crossing the line in 18:31.14.

The women's 4x800 meter relay team of Lyons, Heather Troutman, Elise Maniguet and Margaret Penner defended their indoor 4x800 meter title by winning the outdoor title by 16 seconds, with a time of 10:10.30. Jen Malenovsky and Danielle Connors both placed in the top-five in the 5000 meter run, with Malenovsky taking second (18:37.92) and Connors placing fourth (19:06.96). Connors also took home second in the 10000 meter run, stopping the clock at 40:42.

Morgan Russel picked up a third place finish for Adelphi in the 100 meter hurdles, running a season best 15.78 to qualify for the final, where she ran 16.01 to place third. The 4x400 meter relay of Russell, Jenilee Fuertes, Tarryn Rivera and Petit collected a fourth place finish, finishing in a time of 4:23.00.

Matt Dispensa was the top finisher on the men's side, posting a second place finish in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:43.20. The men's 4x800 meter relay of Obed Bienne, Sean Harte, Ryan Pezzulo and Aaron Warner also picked up second place, running 8:00.47.

Warner collected an individual fourth place finish in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 1:59.43, while Pezzulo and Harte took home third (4:09.56) and fourth (4:12.87) in the 1500 meter run. In addition Mike Dorman and Adam Clark both placed in the top-five in the 10000 meter run, with Dorman picking up fourth (34:51) and Clark placing fifth (35:03).

Adelphi returns to action on Apri 24, when they travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to compete in the PENN Relays.
