Bronxville, N.Y. - The Adelphi men's basketball team traveled to Bronxville, New York on Saturday, February 2 to take on East Coast Conference opponent Concordia College. The Clippers built a 29-20 halftime lead that the Panthers were unable to overcome, picking up a 63-57 win. The loss drops Adelphi to 11-8 overall and 8-5 in conference play, while Concordia improves to 8-12 overall and 6-7 in the ECC.

Adelphi and Concordia exchanged the lead a few times in the first 10 minutes of action, until the Clippers found a rythmn. Concordia outscored Adelphi 24-14 over the final 10 minutes to enter the half with a 29-20 advantage.

The Clippers pushed their edge to a game-high 14 points, using an 8-5 run in the first four minutes of action in the second half. However, the Panther would not go quietly, using a 21-10 run to cut the Clipper lead to just three points, 47-44, on an Arjan Perovic three-pointer with 8:26 left in the half. But, that was as close as Adelphi would get as the Clippers extended the lead back to double digits before picking up the 63-57 win.

Adelphi had three players in double figures, led by Sky Khaleel with 13 points. Perovic and Pat Luptowski chipped in 10 points each while Chris Diasparra added eight points and six rebounds.
