Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University lacrosse athletes Edward Ege (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) and Rachel Ray (Rocky Point, N.Y.) have been named East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Lacrosse Players of the Week as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, March 26. This is the first time this season that either player has been honored by the ECAC. Ege helped the Panthers to a 18-6 non-conference win over St. Michael's on Friday March 21. In the win Ege totaled 10 points, scoring three goals and handing out a game-high seven assists. He also picked up three ground balls. Ray continued her strong early season play in a 22-7 non-conference victory over Georgian Court. In the win Ray scored four goals and assisted on six other, leading all players with 10 points. The men return to action on Saturday, March 29 when they travel to Rockville Centre, New York for a 1:00 pm meeting with Molloy. The women open up their East Coast Conference schedule on March 27 against St. Thomas Aquinas in Sparkill, New York. |
