March 2, 2008 Pleasantville, NY - Adelphi Men's Tennis traveled north to the Sam Mill Club, Pleasantville, New York, for a non-conference match up against the Setters of Pace University. The Brown and Gold came out on top, with all nine matches ending in the Panthers' favor. Adelphi moves to 1-0, 0-0 in the East Coast Conference, while Pace falls to 0-4, 0-1 in the Northeast 10. Senior Tomasz Walczak led off with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Neil Mirchandani in the number one singles spot. Walczak was followed by wins in all remaining five spots including a 6-0, 6-0 sweep in the number three position by Sebastian Nieves. Captain Alex Molotsky and Walczak continued the action in doubles competition with a 8-0 win over Mirchandani and Dan Klein. The Panthers would take the last two matches, 8-4 and 8-1. Adelphi Men's Tennis will return to action March 8, when they travel to Philadelphia, PA to duel against Philadelphia University. First serve is at 1:00 p.m.. |
