Kissimmee, FL - Halfway through the competition schedule during their trip to Flordia, Adelphi Men's Tennis remains 2-1 with victories over Bentley College and The University of Indianapolis. The Panthers' only loss has come against Valparaiso University, which the Brown and Gold were routed 7-2. Senior Tomasz Walczak and freshman Anton Voynov remain undefeated in the Panthers' Sunshine state tour, with three matches remaining against Flager College, Dowling College and Salve Regina University. Against Bentley College Adelphi took four out of six in singles and swept the doubles for a 7-2 victory over the Flacons. Captain Alex Molotsky, along with Walczak, Sebastian Nieves, and Voynov were double winners, victorious in both singles and doubles competition. Against the University of Indianapolis Walczak remains undefeated by topping Jan Stastny 6-4, 4-3 in route to the Panthers' 8-1 victory. Other Panthers remaining unscathed during the trip are Nieves, Molotsky and Voynon. Pierre Streat saw his first victory in Florida with a 6-1, 6-2 defeat of Blake Hall. Against Valparaiso University The Crusaders served the Panthers their first loss in the Sunshine state by a margin of 7-2. Walczak and Voynov pick up wins in singles, 6-3,3-6, 6-3 and 6-3, 6-2 respectfully. Their wins prove to be the Panthers only wins of the day in Kissimmee. The Panthers will return to action March 13, when they take on Flager College at 2:30 p.m. |
