Garden City, N.Y. - Freshman midfielder Kaitlyn Carter (Mineola, N.Y.) was selected as the ECC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

She notched a career best eight goals along with one assist in last week's 22-9 win over St. Thomas Aquinas. Carter is currently ranked third on the team in scoring with 15 points (13G, 2A).

The #5 ranked Panthers (5-0, 1-0 ECC) return to action this Saturday, April 5, as they travel to the University of New Haven for a 1:00 p.m. match-up.
