Garden City, N.Y. - Seniors Dely Francisco (Haverstraw, N.Y.) and Julie Schaper (Warwick, N.Y.) were selected as ECC Baden Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, helping the Panthers to a 8-2 finish last week.

Francisco hit .465 (20-43) with 13 runs scored on the week. She slugged .605, went 13 for 14 in stolen base attempts and added 13 putouts with one assist and no errors. She posted an in-the-park home run in her first at bat against Dominican. With 21 stolen bases so far this season, Francisco has already tied her single season best set back in 2006.

Schaper posted a 4-0 record last week with four starts and a 1.88 ERA in 26 innings pitched. She alloed eight runs (7 ER), with 21 strikouts against 10 walks. Schpaer is currently 7-2 overall this season.

The Panthers are back in action today as they travel to Oakdale, New York to take on Dowling College in a conference doubleheader at 3:00 p.m.
