Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University is slated to begin post-season play this Thursday, May 1 in the the East Coast Conference Softball Tournament. The #2 seed Panthers will take on the Game 1 winner from Wednesday play in game at 9:00 a.m. at Dowling College's Brookhaven campus.

The Panthers earned the number two spot by virtue of their 17-3 conference finish during the regular season. C.W. Post claimed the league title with a 18-2 record.

Adelphi (37-13) is currently ranked second in the Northeast Regional rankings and are on the hunt for their first conference tournament title since 1997. The Panthers took home the regular season crown and earned a NCAA berth in 2007, finishing the season 39-13.
