GREENCASTLE, Ind. -
The Bulldog track & field program had one last chance to qualify for the Division III Indoor Nationals with a meet at Depauw on Friday. The ladies had just a few athletes take to the track as freshman Jennifer Reynolds won the high jump clearing 5'0.5" in the field of six participants. Allison Lofgren placed second in the long jump with a distance of 16'2.25" and also finished fifth in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.92. Caitlin Dickerson also placed fifth in the shot put with her best toss of 34'2.75". The guys also made several valiant efforts on the track to qualify for nationals. Chris Calley won the 55 meter dash with a time of 6.68 but could not meet the provisional standard of 6.47. Ian Thornton and Patrick Reagan also ran in the 55 meters both running 6.72. Jay Yockey ran in the 800 meters and crossed the line at 2:00.18 which gave him a fourth-place finish. Chris Elsey was just on the heels of his teammate at 2:00.20. Mike Arnett competed in the weight throw and placed fourth with a toss of 46'0.5". Thornton also competed in the high jump and claimed fourth with a height of 6'0.5". Arnett won the shot put throwing 47'1.5" but missed the provisional mark in the event. |
