The beginning of the season for the Adrian College baseball program has been filled with a number of close wins over quality opponents and because of that they are receiving poll points in this week's D3baseball.com weekly poll. Adrian has three poll points largely due to the fact that they defeated two teams currently in the top 25. In the season opener, Adrian defeated then #6 Emory by the final of 12-11. Emory is ranked ninth down three spots this week. The Bulldogs also defeated current #22 Piedmont by the score of 4-3. Piedmont was unranked last week and has an 11-3 overall record. Adrian (5-1) is scheduled to play this Friday at Franklin (Ind.) to begin a three-game series with the first game slated for a 3:00 p.m. first pitch.
