ADRIAN, Mich. - The women's basketball team could not put two solid halves of basketball together on Saturday falling 61-51 to Saint Mary's. The Bulldogs led 31-28 at intermission and shot 44.8 percent while holding the Belles to 35.3 percent shooting. Adrian did not fare as well in the second half shooting 26.5 percent including 0-of-10 from the arc while Saint Mary's shot 42.3 percent and were 11-of-16 at the foul line.

Saint Mary's took the lead for good at the 17:33 mark of the second half and then went on a 13-4 run over the next five minutes to take a 47-39 lead at the 12:08 mark. Saint Mary's built their lead to 14 at 55-41 with 8:09 remaining and Adrian got as close as eight for the rest of the game.

Adrian (6-12, 4-6) was led by sophomore Kim Olech who notched her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Her last double-double came back on December 29 against Centenary College. Olech was 6-of-9 from the field and also had a block, assist and steal in 22 minutes. Megan Bouwens came off the bench to record 10 points and nine boards in 17 minutes. She was 5-of-9 shooting and also had an assist.

Ashley McClarren was the third frontcourt player to have a good game with nine points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes. Adrian finished the game shooting 34.9 percent (22-of-63) and were just 2-of-16 from the arc and 5-of-11 at the free throw line. They also were hurt by 24 turnovers which led to 17 Saint Mary's points.
