DELAWARE, Ohio - Mariana DiGiovanni scored 1:30 into Saturday's game, but the Ohio Wesleyan women's lacrosse team responded with six straight goals to take a lead they would not relinquish to hand the Bulldogs their second loss of the week.

DiGiovanni, Ashley Starkey, and Rachel Campbell scored a goal each later in the first half, but midway through the contest, the Battling Bishops had established a 14-4 by halftime.

The Bulldogs scored two goals early in the second half to cut the lead to 14-6, but the team could not seem to get the offense going for the comeback. Andrea Soloko, Rachel Walters, and Sierra Roberts each found the net once in the second half while DiGiovanni added her third and fourth goals of the game for the Bulldogs.

Amanda Faraone took the loss in goal while making seven saves on the afternoon.

The Bulldogs (5-7) wrap up their inaugural season on Thursday, April 24 when they host Tri-State University at 6:00 p.m. at the Multisport Performance Stadium.
