MACON, Ga. - The Adrian College softball team swept the Wesleyan College Pioneers by 7-3 and 6-2 scores in Macon, Georgia on Monday evening for their first wins of the 2008 season.

In game one, Krissy Sheets went 4-for-4 with four runs scored and two RBIs while hitting out of the lead-off spot. Junior Carmen Batway also had a productive day at the plate for the Bulldogs, hitting 3-for-4 with a stolen base. Freshman Kelly Tomasek picked up her first win on the mound, giving up just two hits in 3.0 innings of work.

Sheets continued her strong day at the dish in game two, going 4-for-4 again while scoring three runs. Andrea Vangoss picked up her first win of her senior campaign, pitching all 7 innings of work while striking out five Pioneers.

The Bulldogs will take on Reinhardt College tomorrow afternoon for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.
