ALMA, Mich. - The Bulldog women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at Alma College on Thursday as the top flight ladies earned all three points for Adrian. Lindsey Eshelman and Katelyn Simcina improved to 7-2 as a duo with an 8-5 win at one doubles over Kelly Schwartzkopt and Margaret Curtiss. Eshelman also claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win at one singles over Schwartzkopt making her 6-4 in singles play this season. Simcina went into a third set coming back after dropping the first set (3-6) before rallying for a 7-6 win in the second set and a 10-2 tiebreak in the third set. Simcina is now 6-4 in singles play this season. Robyn Bahr won the first set (7-5) at three singles but then fell 6-3, 10-2 in the next two sets. The other three singles matchups were straight set wins for the Scots. Adrian (2-8, 0-3 MIAA) will go out of conference a week from today as they travel to Spring Arbor. |
