Falcons Give Back to the Community

Feb. 22, 2008

On February 6, 2008, members of the Air Force Academy men's and women's soccer teams spent the afternoon playing and interacting with the students at Whittier Elementary School as part of AFA's Adopt-A-School program.

The Academy has been participating in the Adopt-A-School program for over 10 years. A couple times a month a different intercollegiate varsity sport makes the trip down to Whittier and gives back to the community.

Each year a new school is chosen for participation. This mentoring program allows the athletic department to bring a part of the Academy to the community.

The men's soccer team would like to thank Whittier principal Marlys Berg for the opportunity to visit the school.
