Crozier Named to WWC All-Academic Team

Cedar Falls, Iowa - Junior Stephen Crozier (Monona, Iowa) was named to the Western Wrestling Conference All-Academic Team, as announced by the league today. It marks the second-straight year Crozier has earned WWC All-Academic honors. Crozier, who finished second at the NCAA West Regional this season, is a third-year starter for the Falcons, competing this year at 165 pounds. The 2008 NCAA qualifier and second-team All-WWC selection holds a 3.54 GPA with a major in economics. He ended this season with a 28-15 overall record, leading the Falcons in total wins. To qualify for the All-Academic team, student-athletes had to secure a minimum 3.20 grade point average, be a starter or key reserve and be a sophomore or higher in academic standing. This year's WWC All-Academic squad is comprised of 10 student-athletes. Meanwhile, the Commissioner's Honor Roll, also announced today, recognizes student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 grade point average. This year's Commissioner's Honor Roll will honor 16 WWC student-athletes. The Western Wrestling Conference is comprised of seven schools including the Air Force Academy, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, Utah Valley State and Wyoming. The conference formed in April 2006.
