Masahiko (Masa) Morita is in his fifth season in Fairbanks as the assistant athletic trainer for the Nanooks. Morita earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Asia University in Tokyo, Japan, in 1992. He later received his master's degree in exercise and sports science from Central Missouri State University. Morita came to UAF from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colo. where he served as head athletic trainer for two years after holding the position of assistant trainer at ASC. Morita is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
