May 5, 2008 Itta Bena, Miss. - Maverick Scott scored three runs and was 2-4 at the plate, including a double, and Chris Terry had three hits, including two doubles Sunday as Alabama A&M ruined Senior Day celebrations at Mississippi Valley State with a 9-7 win over the Delta Devils. The hosts won the first two games of the series on Saturday, 1-0 and 6-1. Tyron Childress continued his stellar season at the plate in the finale going 2-4 with two RBI. Entering the series, Childress led all black college players with a .443 batting average on the season. A&M took the lead for good in the sixth, breaking a 6-6 tie with two runs. Turner Washington reached on an infield error that plated Fabian Harper for the go-ahead RBI. A.J. Campbell took over on the mound from there giving up just one run in Valley's final four at-bats.
