"Great Bulldog Race" to Take Place on April 8

Go Bulldogs!!!

April 3, 2008

In celebration of National Student-Athlete Day, the Alabama A&M office of CHAMPS/NCAA Life Skills within the department of athletics, will host the second annual "Great Bulldog Race," along with other events on campus Tuesday, April 8. The race pits 10 teams of Bulldog student-athletes in a competition to gather historical information on Alabama A&M University throughout the day from various faculty and staff members known as "keyholders" on campus. The contest results are based not only on the fact-finding hunt, but grade point average and event involvement as well.

"The goal is to have our student-athletes begin to understand the important history of this great institution," CHAMPS/Life Skills director Alfred Baker said. "It also gives us a chance in the athletics department to make connections with other departments and members of the A&M community."

Here is a complete schedule for the day's events
