BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - James Oliver, a junior right-handed pitcher on the UAB baseball team, has been voted to the Conference USA All-Academic Team announced by the league office Monday. Five seniors, five juniors and four sophomores make up the 2008 C-USA All-Academic Team, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Oliver has won four games on the mound this season, including two in league play. The Vestavia Hills, Ala. native has thrown two complete games this season and has excelled in the classroom, holding a 3.80 GPA as a biology major.

Oliver is a Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal Winner.
