Blazers In Eighth Place After Day One Of Cincinnati Spring Invitational

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The UAB women's golf team carded rounds of 320 and 321 to sit in eighth place at 641 after day one of the Cincinnati Spring Invitational at The Plantation Golf Course. Freshman Lindsay Taylor leads the Blazers with a two-round score of 151 to tie for seventh place in the individual standings.

Florida International is leading the tournament after shooting rounds of 301 and 307 for a first day score of 608. Florida Atlantic is in second at 609 and Stetson is in third place with a total of 616.

Taylor shot rounds of 77 and 74 to tie for seventh at 151 with one round remaining. Freshman Jaime Brabb is tied for 22nd place with a day-one total of 158.

Sophomore Carolyn Cochran is tied for 41st after tallying a score of 164 and junior Christina Wentworth shot a 168 to tie for the 55th position. Junior Alyson Mitchell rounded out the Blazers' efforts tied for 60th place with a 36-hole total of 172.

UAB will conclude its competition at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational with the third and final round Saturday.
