Benedetti Defends Platform Title at NCAA Zone E Championships

Micky Benedetti defended his platform title at the NCAA Zone E Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. The junior, who last year finished runner-up on the platform at the NCAA Championships, totaled 683.80 points to claim his second championship. He scored 349.05 points in the preliminaries and 334.75 points in the final round. Benedetti qualified himself for the NCAA Championships after his success throughout the weekend.

Brittany Jumer also competed in the platform finals for the NCAA Zone E Championships. Jumer placed fifth overall with 477.70 points and narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

Benedetti will compete in the NCAA Championships March 27-29 in Federal Way, Wash.
