Kiel Roling Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

April 29, 2008

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State junior C/DH Kiel Roling has been named Pac-10 Player of the Week, the conference announced today. It is the third time in his career he has earned the honor from the conference and it is the fourth time a Devil has earned the award this season. Brett Wallace won the award after the first weekend of play, while Ike Davis won back-to-back awards in March.

Roling, a Grand Junction, Colo. product, helped lead Arizona State to a 4-1 week, including a three game sweep of Pac-10 rival California. Roling went 9-17 (.529) with a homer and 10 RBI. He knocked in at least one run in all five games and had three RBI during a 4-5 night at Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday. He also drew eight walks, one intentional, and scored seven runs.
