Women's Golf Holds Third Place Position at Pac-10's

Palos Verdes, Calif. - The fourth-ranked Arizona State University women's golf team continues to hold the third-place spot after the second round of the 2008 Pac-10 Championship in Palos Verdes, Calif. ASU shot a 22-over 590 (296-294), 13 strokes behind tournament host and first place team USC.

Individually for the Sun Devils, junior All-American Azahara Munoz jumps four spots into third place after shooting even par in the second round. Munoz shot a two round total of 1-over 143 (72-71). Sophomore All-American Anna Nordqvist also pulled closer to the lead, finishing in fourth place after the second round. Nordqvist, who started the day in a tie for 13th, shot a 1-under 70 in the second round for a two-round total of 2-over 144 (74-70). Sophomore Juliana Murcia is tied for 12th after shooting a two-day total of 6-over 148 (74-74). Junior All-American Jennifer Osborn shot 15-over 157 (76-81) to tie for 36th. Rounding out the Sun Devil's line-up, Senior Camila Sola shot a 22-over 164 (85-79) to tie for 44th.

The third round of the 2008 Pac-10 Championships concludes tomorrow at the par-71, 6,060 yard Palos Verdes Golf Club. ASU is the reigning Pac-10 Champion, winning a Pac-10 record seventh championship last season.
