Schmidt placed third in the 500-meter run with a season-best time of 1:04.49 at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships at The Armory on Feb. 1...time is second-fastest in the A-10 this season and was an IC4A qualifier...also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished third in a season-best time of 3:19.14, which was an IC4A qualifying time.

Bakanowski placed first in the pole vault with a height of 12-1 ½ at the Rhode Island Invitational on Feb 2...height replaces the school record she set last year and is also an ECAC-qualifier.
Aja Jackson - Charlotte
Junior, Charlotte, N.C./E.E. Waddell HS
Jackson ran a 4:56.61 in the mile run, winning the event as an ECAC qualifier at the Carolina Classic on Feb. 2...time is the fastest mile run in A-10 this season...also occupies the top Conference spot in the 800-meter run.

Barnes shattered a school record in the weight throw at the DePauw Invite on Feb. 1 with a distance of 56-10, besting the previous mark of 56-08 ¾...throw is the third-longest in the A-10 this year.

Melissa Johnson - Duquesne
Senior, Phoeniz, Ariz./Shadow Mountain HS
Johnson set a school record in the 200-yard freestyle with a winning time of 1:50.72 on Feb. 2 at the Pittsburgh Quad Meet...also placed first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:07.96) and second in the 100-yard freestyle (52.06).

Carbin placed first in a pair of races in La Salle's 173-124 victory over Drexel on Feb. 2...recorded winning times of 57.58 in the 100-yard backstroke and 2:07.13 in the 200-yard backstroke.
Christina Cosentino - Fordham
Freshman, Staten Island, N.Y./Notre Dame Academy
Cosentino won the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events on Feb. 2 as Fordham earned a 186-112 win versus Massachusetts...posted times of 58.37 and 2:06.97, respectively, and swam a leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:49.14).

Ortega went 2-0 on the weekend, winning singles matches against Bloomsburg (2-6, 6-0, 1-0) and Bucknell from the No. 2 flight...won 4-6, 4-6, 1-0 (6) match against Bucknell on Feb. 2...won both doubles matches with an 8-6 victory against Bloomsburg (Feb. 1) and an 8-5 win against Bucknell.

Rasner went 4-0 on the weekend, winning his first match in the No. 6 flight against Bloomsburg (6-0, 6-0) on Feb. 1...defeated Bucknell (6-4, 6-7 (9), 1-0 (2) on Feb 2...won both doubles matches against Bloomsburg and Bucknell, 8-6 and 8-5, respectively...14-4 in singles play and 11-4 in doubles play this season.

Ducro won all four matches over the weekend, including No. 5 singles win in XU's 4-3 upset of No. 74 Eastern Michigan on Feb. 1...won 6-4, 6-3 against EMU (Feb. 1) and 6-3, 6-2 in match against Toledo on Feb. 2...now a perfect 6-0 in singles play this spring and 13-3 overall.

Williams had an undefeated weekend, winning at Bloomsburg at the No. 2 flight (6-0, 6-0) on Feb. 1 and Bucknell (6-0, 6-0) on Feb. 2...won both doubles matches from the second flight, 6-0 and 8-4, respectively...improved to 16-0 in singles and 4-1 in doubles on the season.
