Charlotte swept its three-game home series with Manhattan (Feb. 23-24) as senior catcher Chris Taylor (Mt. Pleasant, N.C.) went 6-for-11 with five runs scored in the series, while junior righthander Zach Rosenbaum (Huntersville, N.C.) pitched seven strong innings to earn his first win of the season. The 49ers, who have scored at least five runs in 15 consecutive games, resume action on Feb. 26 with a road date versus Presbyterian.

Junior infielder Ryan Nevill (Terre Haute, Ind.) had four hits in nine at-bats in Dayton's two-game series versus Campbell on Feb. 23. Nevill and first basemen Marshall MacDonald (Red Deer, Ala.) collected three hits apiece in the Flyers' season-opening 7-5 setback versus Campbell. The Flyers visit High Point on Feb. 29 for the start of a three-game series.

Senior first baseman Aaron Janusey (Venetia, Pa.) had a pair of hits in Duquesne's season-opening 14-3 loss at 12th ranked Florida State on Feb. 23. The Dukes resume action on Feb. 29 as they visit LSU for a three-game series.

Senior righthander Tom Davis (Madison, Conn.) allowed three runs over five innings as Fordham opened its season with a 4-3 loss at ninth-ranked Wichita State on Feb. 22. The final two games of the series were canceled due to weather. The Rams return to the diamond on Feb. 29 as they start a four-game series at UNC-Wilmington.

George Washington collected 38 hits in its weekend series at the Courtyard by Marriot Baseball Classic in Spartansburg, S.C., and improved to 3-0 for the first time since 1993. Junior righthander Pat Lehman (Fair Lawn, N.J.) allowed an unearned run over six innings with five strikeouts in the Colonials' 12-5 win over NJIT on Feb. 23. GW returns to the diamond with a home doubleheader versus Yale on Mar. 1.

Sophomore centerfielder John Malloy (Fairless Hills, Pa.) had a pair of multi-hit performances in La Salle's four-game series at Elon (Feb. 22-24). Malloy hit a pair of homers and scored four runs. The Explorers resume action on Feb. 27 when they host West Chester before hitting the road for five straight contests.

Massachusetts opens its season on Mar. 7 as it takes on Arizona State in a three-game series in Tempe, Ariz. The Minutemen welcome back 18 letterwinners under the direction of head coach Mike Stone, who boasts a record of 516-416-2 entering his 21st season in Amherst.

Rhode Island sophomore lefthander Nick Greenwood (Southington, Conn.) registered a career-high 10 strikeouts in 6.2 innings on Feb. 24 as Rhode Island dropped a 3-1 decision at Troy. The Rams resume action on Mar. 1 when they visit Maryland-Eastern Shore in a doubleheader.

Richmond opened its season on Feb. 22 with a 23-16 victory over UNC-Wilmington at the Jacksonville Invitational, the first career win for head coach Mark McQueen. Six different players slugged homers in the game, including grand slams by leftfielder Hank Coogan (Richmond, Va.) and sophomore Evan Stehle (Richmond, Va.). The Spiders host William & Mary on Feb. 26.

Making his collegiate debut, freshman third baseman Brad Steinbach (St. Mary's, Pa.) cracked a pair of triples as St. Bonaventure edged Long Island on Feb. 23, 8-7. Senior lefty Cody Vincent (Russell, Pa.) tossed 3.1 innings of scoreless relief to earn his 18th career victory. The Bonnies face Mount St. Mary's on Feb. 26 in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Six different players collected at least two hits in Saint Joseph's 16-12 setback at William & Mary on Feb. 24. Sophomore Mike Boyland (Hatboro, Pa.) went 3-for-4 in the loss, while senior outfielder Jeremy Jakubowski (Jarretsville, Md.) had eight hits in 14 at-bats in the Hawks' four-game series in Williamsburg, Va. SJU travels to Winter Park, Fla., to face Georgetown on Mar. 1.

Saint Louis starting pitchers posted an impressive 2.14 earned run average in its three-game series at Belmont. Sophomore outfielder J.D. Dunn (Franklin, Tenn.) had a career-high three hits on Feb. 22 in the Billikens' 3-0 win on Feb. 23, the first victory for Darin Hendrickson as head coach of SLU. Saint Louis returns to the diamond on Feb. 29 at Samford in the first of a three-game series.

Making his first collegiate start, Temple freshman outfielder Byron McKoy (Charlotte, N.C.) went 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBI as the Owls downed Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 24, 9-6. Senior righthander Arshwin Asjes (Willemstad, Curacao) recorded his first career save in the contest. TU resumes action on Feb. 29 as it visits Old Dominion to start a three-game series.

Xavier senior leftfielder Robbie Kelley (Springboro, Ohio) went 5-for-10 with three extra-base hits and four walks in the Musketeers' three-game series at the Coca-Cola Classic at South Alabama (Feb. 23-24). XU resumes action on Feb. 29 as it takes on Iowa in Nashville, Tenn., at the Music City Invitational. The Musketeers will square off against Kansas on Mar. 1 and host Vanderbilt on Mar. 2.
