Sophomore righthander Kelly McLain (Hiddenite, N.C.) earned his first collegiate win on Mar. 23 as he tossed four shutout innings in Charlotte's 9-1 win over Saint Louis. Charlotte is ranked No. 23 in Collegiate Baseball's Top 30 poll and is an astounding 28-3 at home - including 15-0 at home this season - since the opening of Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium on Mar. 30, 2007. Winners of 12 straight series in A-10 play - dating back to 2006 - the 49ers boast a team batting average of .343.

Junior outfielder Max Navalinski (Kirkland, Wash.) stroked a two-run single with two outs in the seventh inning to lift Dayton past Xavier on Mar. 24, 5-3. Freshman reliever Burny Mitchem (Farmington, Mich.) earned the win with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief. UD visits Miami (Ohio) on Mar. 26.

Duquesne senior first baseman Aaron Janusey (Venetia, Pa.) went 5-for-10 with three extra-base hits in the Dukes' three-game series sweep of Massachusetts. Janusey has hit safely in seven consecutive games and leads the team in runs (11) and RBI (11). After opening the season 0-10, Duquesne has won six straight contests.

Freshman Alex Kenny (Chester, N.J.) collected three hits and knocked in a pair on Mar. 22 as Fordham edged St. Bonaventure, 9-7, for its first league victory of the season. Five different pitchers combined on a one-hitter in the Rams' 10-1 win over NYIT on Mar. 18. Fordham hosts Stony Brook on Mar. 26 before visiting Saint Louis for a three-game series (Mar. 28-30).

Senior outfielder Charlie Kruer (Old Bridge, N.J.) had three hits in each of George Washington's three games versus Saint Joseph's (Mar. 21-22) and added nine RBI. The Colonials improved to 23-9 all-time versus the Hawks in their 9-4 win over SJU on Mar. 22 in the first-ever game at Nationals Park, home to the Washington Nationals.

Freshman outfielder Mike Canfarotta (Bayside, N.Y.) had a pair of multi-hit performances in his first extended action of the season.

Senior outfielder Randy Moley (Buffalo, N.Y.) is batting a blistering .653 (32-for-49) over his last ten games after collecting nine hits in 14 at-bats in St. Bonaventure's three-game series at Fordham (Mar. 20-22). Freshman hurler Cael Johnson (Frewsburg, N.Y.) tossed five scoreless innings with five strikeouts to earn his first win of the season on Mar. 21 in the Bonnies' 3-2 (12) victory at Fordham.

Saint Joseph's rallied from 3-0 first-inning deficit to defeat Villanova on Mar. 18, 7-5. It marked the Hawks first win over VU since 2003. Sophomore second baseman David Valesente (Ithaca, N.Y.) stroked a pair of homers and knocked in five in the Hawks' three-game series at George Washington (Mar. 21-22).

Sophomore infielder Mike Beal (St. Louis, Mo.) boasts a career-best eight-game hitting streak and leads the team with a .409 batting average.

Temple earned its first series sweep of Rhode Island since 1994 and its first three-game road series sweep since 2004 to extend its winning streak to five games. Junior catcher Kyle Obal (Derwood, Md.) had a career-high four hits and added two RBI on Mar. 23 in the Owls' 8-2 victory at Rhode Island. He leads the team with a .391 batting average.
