Charlotte scored a three-game series record 49 runs in its three contests at Massachusetts (Apr. 18-20). Senior catcher Chris Taylor (Mt. Pleasant, N.C.) registered his third multi-homer game of the season in the 49ers' 18-3 win at UMass on Apr. 18. Charlotte has slugged 43 home runs on the year, its highest total since cracking 68 in 2004.

Senior outfielder Charlie Kruer (Old Bridge, N.J.) cracked three solo homers on the week and moved into a tie for sixth place in program history with 34 career home runs. Kruer collected seven hits in 13 at-bats over four contests and leads the team with a .362 batting average.

La Salle's 14-10 win versus Fordham on Apr. 19 marked the most runs scored by the Explorers in a home A-10 contest since a 15-11 victory over Xavier during the 1999 season. Senior third baseman John Rickards (Chalfont, Pa.) batted .412 (7-for-17) on the week and became the program's all-time leader with 16 career triples.

Massachusetts junior righthander Mike DiCato (Winthrop, Mass.) took a no-hitter into the ninth inning and earned the win as the Minutemen edged Boston College, 4-3, to win the Beanpot Championship on Apr. 15 at Fenway Park. DiCato also earned Massachusetts' first-ever victory (12-8) over Charlotte on Apr. 20.

Sophomore designated hitter Mike Beal (St. Louis, Mo.) smashed a grand slam and drove in a career-high five runs on Apr. 18 as Saint Louis downed St. Bonaventure, 11-1. The Billikens' 17 victories exceed their total from all of last season.
