Sophomore first baseman/designated hitter Rob Lyerly (Indian Trail, N.C.) cracked three doubles and a home run in Charlotte's three-game series sweep of Richmond. Sophomore reliever Kelly McLain (Hiddenite, N.C.) improved to 6-0 on the year after tossing seven scoreless innings out of the bullpen to earn a pair of wins versus the Spiders. McLain boasts a 0.63 earned run average in 28.2 innings pitched in league play this season.

Dayton freshman reliever Burny Mitchem (Farmington, Mich.) leads A-10 freshmen with four saves and has fanned 52 in 36 innings pitched. The Flyers are one win shy of securing their fifth 30-win season in program history. The previous four 30-win campaigns have come under head coach Tony Vittorio.

Sophomore righthander Paul Bugajski (North Huntingdon, Pa.) improved to 4-0 in A-10 play after yielding three runs on six hits with five strikeouts over nine innings in Duquesne's 9-3 win over Saint Louis on May 10. Junior outfielder Mike Carroll (New Martinsville, W.Va.) homered in consecutive games versus Saint Louis while driving in six runs.

Fordham senior righthander Tom Davis (Madison, Conn.) threw 7.1 innings of eight-hit ball to pick up his league-leading eighth win of the year on May 10 as the Rams edged Xavier, 3-1. Fordham closes out the regular season with a three-game series at Massachusetts.

Sophomore infielder Curtis Eward (Oakton, Va.) went 6-for-8 with three RBI and two doubles in George Washington's three-game series at La Salle. Freshman righthander Eric Cantrell (Oakton, Va.) earned his fifth victory on May 11 with eight solid innings and lowered his earned run average to 2.20 in six road starts this season.

La Salle junior third baseman Justin Handler (Gaithersburg, Md.) extended his hitting streak to seven games with three multi-hit performances on the week and added seven runs scored. The Explorers have turned 46 double plays on the year, their highest total since 1999.

Junior second baseman Adam Tempesta (Brockton, Mass.) collected two hits and three RBI in Massachusetts' 7-3 victory over Rhode Island on May 10. UMass pitchers did not issue a single walk in its doubleheader versus URI on May 10.

St. Bonaventure freshman shortstop Jesse Bosnik (St. Mary's, Pa.) had a career-high four RBI on May 11 in the Bonnies' 15-11 win at Saint Joseph's. Bosnik has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games.

Senior shortstop Chris Cashman's (Lafayette Hills, Pa.) one-out single in the bottom of the ninth lifted Saint Joseph's to a 5-4 win over St. Bonaventure on May 10. Senior outfielder Jeremy Jakubowski (Jarrettsville, Md.) batted .588 (10-for-17) with seven RBI and a pair of triples over four contests.

Temple's 1-0 win versus Dayton on May 10 marked the Owls' first 1-0 victory since the 2004 season. Temple is one league-win shy of securing its first A-10 Championship berth since 2002.
