Daniels, Duncan Selected To Play In DiGiorno College All-Star Game In San Antonio

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Will Daniels of Rhode Island and Xavier's Josh Duncan are among 22 seniors selected to participate in the DiGiorno College All-Star Basketball Game on Friday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, it was announced today.

The game, being played on the Final Four floor for the first time in its long history, begins at 6 pm (EST) and will be televised on CBS College Sports, formerly CSTV.

A two-time first-team All-Conference selection, Daniels ranks fourth in the A-10 in scoring (18.6 ppg.) and tenth in rebounding (6.5 rpg.) while shooting 50.1 percent (228-of-455) from the field, good for third in the league. The 6-8 forward was a three-time A-10 Player of the Week selection this season while leading URI to a 21-12 record and a berth in the Mastercard NIT.

Duncan garnered second-team All-Atlantic 10 distinction as well as the Sixth Man of the Year honors after leading the regular season champion Musketeers in scoring (12.4 ppg.) and three-point field goal percentage (.417 - 55-of-132). In A-10 contests, the Cincinnati, Ohio, resident averaged a team-high 12.8 points and shot 51 percent (25-of-49) from beyond the arc. Duncan was named to the West Regional All-Tournament Team after leading XU to its second-ever appearance in the Elite Eight and a program-record 30 victories.

Daniels and Duncan will play on the National Team on Friday evening, directed by current Clemson and former Dayton head coach Oliver Purnell.
