PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The 30th annual Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship will take place this weekend, May 2-4, at the Orange County National Golf Course in Winter Garden, Fla.
The Championship tees off on Friday, May 2, with Charlotte looking to once again defend its title. The 49ers have claimed the last two A-10 titles and represented the A-10 with a third-place finish at the 2007 NCAA Championship. Charlotte is looking to become the first team to win three consecutive A-10 crowns since Penn State won five straight from 1986-91.
Both Charlotte and 2007 runner-up Xavier combine to return six golfers who finished in the top ten last year, including the medalist runner-up in senior Andrew DiBitetto of Charlotte. Xavier senior Brian Keating had a sixth-place showing a year ago and was one of five Xavier golfers to earn All-Conference honors.
Joining Charlotte and Xavier in the quest for the A-10 title are Dayton, Duquesne, Fordham, George Washington, La Salle, Rhode Island, Richmond, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph's and Temple.
Tee times for all three rounds of the Championship begin at 8:00am.
