26 Auburn Student-Athletes Named To SEC Academic Fall Honor Roll

AUBURN, Ala. - A total of 26 Auburn student-athletes have been named to the 2007-08 Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, it was announced Friday by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive.

The 2007-08 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2007 Spring, Summer and Fall terms.

Auburn football and soccer had the most athletes earn SEC Academic Honor Roll distinctions with 11. The football honorees include Cole Bennett (Management Information Systems), Jason Bosley (Finance), Neil Caudle (Pre-Building Science), Rick Cherry (Pre-Business), John Cubelic (Mass Communication), Zach Gilbert (Interdepartmental), Danny Perry (Exercise Science), Carl Stewart (General Social Science), Josh Thompson (Physical Education), Jackson Timmerman (Physics) and Tommy Trott (Public Administration).

The Auburn soccer team members that were recognized include Monica Afanador (Undeclared Liberal Arts), Carolyn Cohen (Hotel & Restaurant Management), Stephanie Fransoso (Undeclared Sciences & Mathematics), Kori Hoelscher (Physical Education), Rebecca Howell (Undeclared Liberal Arts), Jennifer Johnson (Criminology), Kara Kasten (Finance), Jenni Prescott (Pre-Early Childhood Education), Summer Ragsdale (Marketing), Allison Whitworth (Health Promotion) and Kasey Warren (Pre-Business).

Auburn volleyball had four of its student-athletes selected, including Marissa Fields (Exercise Science), Whitney Jacob (Health Promotion), Rachel Shanks (Pharmacy) and Kaitlin Simon (Exercise Science).
