HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College men's ice hockey would hold the visiting Babson College scoreless in picking up a huge 4-0 victory over the Beavers in an ECAC East matchup on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Pilgrims to 13-5-3 overall and 8-4-3 in the conference, while the loss drops the 15th-ranked Beavers to 13-5-3 overall and 9-4-2 in the ECAC East.

The Beavers would hold the edge in shots, 10-9, in the opening period but would head into the first intermission down 1-0.

NEC would tack on two goals in the second including a power-play score by Mike Mullen (Pittsburgh, Pa.) at the 10:55 mark and a goal by leading scorer Mark Ehl (N. Vancouver, B.C.) to put the Pilgrims up 3-0 heading into the third period.

Babson would have few opportunities in the third period as the Pilgrim defense would hold the visitors to just five shots on net.
