BABSON PARK, Mass. - After helping the Babson men's lacrosse team extend its winning streak to three games with a pair of victories, senior attack Jason Wellemeyer (Pembroke, Mass.) was named the Pilgrim League Player of the Week on Monday. The team's leading scorer, Wellemeyer recorded six goals, including two game-winners, to go along with four assists and eight groundballs in a 2-0 week for the Beavers. He recorded four goals - including the decisive score with 6:09 left - and two assists for six points while also picking up two groundballs in a 13-11 victory over Mount Ida on Wednesday. He then added two goals, including his second game-winner of the week, two assists, and six groundballs in a 13-4 Pilgrim League win over Norwich on Saturday. Wellemeyer has been outstanding in his final collegiate season, posting a league-leading 22 goals through the team's first 10 games. Through Sunday's games, the senior attack ranked second in the league with 31 total points and fourth in assists with nine.
