BABSON PARK, Mass. - The Babson College men's tennis team had its two-match winning streak halted by visiting Trinity College on Tuesday afternoon, as the Beavers fell to the Bantams, 9-0, in a non-conference tilt. With the win, Trinity improved to 10-1 overall, while Babson fell to 9-9.

After winning all three doubles matches by a score of 8-3, the Bantams claimed straight-set wins at all six singles positions to complete the 9-0 sweep. Trinity was led by senior Brett Ramsey (Glastonbury, Conn.), who won 6-2, 6-2 at number one, junior David Yahng (Hong Kong, China), who prevailed 6-1, 6-2 at two, and senior Thomas Dolan (Shrewsbury, Mass.), who won 6-1, 6-2, at three.

Prior to the contest, there was a brief ceremony in honor of Babson senior co-captains Ben Edick (Del Ray Beach, Fla.) and Walt Sea (Stuart, Fla.), who were competing in the final regular season match of their respective careers. The duo, which entered the day with 10 doubles wins on the season, matching the team-high, played at the number two position where they fell, 8-3.

Now completely finished with non-conference play, Babson will wrap up its regular season with a NEWMAC tilt at Springfield on Saturday at 1 p.m. With a win over the Pride, the Beavers would be guaranteed at least the second seed and a first-round bye in next week's conference tournament.
