WACO, Texas - Junior Curtis Jerrells was named a first-team All-Big 12 selection and is among four Baylor players to earn postseason honors along with Henry Dugat, LaceDarius Dunn and Kevin Rogers.

Jerrells was named to the 2007-08 Phillips 66 All-Big 12 First Team as voted on by the league's coaches the conference office announced on Monday morning.

Jerrells earns Baylor's second first-team selection in the history of the Big 12 and the first since Terry Black earned the honor following the 2000-01 season.

The junior from Austin, Texas has helped Baylor to a 21-9 overall record this season, and a 9-7 mark in Big 12 action, its best record in conference history. The Bears claimed a share of fourth place in the league, and enter the conference tournament as the fifth-seeded team.

Jerrells currently ranks ninth in the Big 12 with 14.8 points per game (15.6 ppg in conference games). He ranks sixth in assists (3.57), eighth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.73), 10th in free throw percentage (.724), 12th in field goal percentage (.429), 15th in steals (1.27) and 15th in 3-pointers made per game (1.67).

He is on pace to become just the fifth player in school history to lead the team in points for three-straight seasons. In 2008-09, Jerrells will have an opportunity to become the only player in Baylor history to lead the team in scoring all four years.

Rogers was named third-team All-Big 12 by the Associated Press and both he and Dugat were each named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention by the league's coaches.

A junior from Dallas, Texas, Rogers averages 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this season. He has tallied 12 double-doubles on the season, the third-most among Big 12 players. In addition, Rogers was named to the Big 12 All-Underrated Team as selected by a panel of sportswriters who regularly cover the conference.

Dugat, a junior from Dayton, Texas, averaged 11.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per game to go along with a team-high 41 steals.

True freshman Dunn was also named to two specialty teams, as he was selected to the All-Freshman and All-Reserve teams by the same panel of sportswriters. Dunn averages 13.3 points per game this season (13th in the Big 12). He leads the league in free throw shooting at 84.2%, and ranks second in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (42.9%) and 3-point baskets made per game (2.41). Dunn was also named to the conference All-Freshman team by Rivals.com.

The freshman guard had his top performance in a 86-73 road win at Texas Tech, posting a career-high 38 points. The total set a new freshman scoring record at BU and was the sixth-highest mark in school history, the most since 1988.

Dunn shot 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from the field in two games, including a 7-for-12 (.583) effort from 3-point range. He also made 14-of-15 (.933) shots from the free throw line. Dunn is one of three Baylor players to win weekly honors this season.
