The Baylor women's golf team finished a disappointing first day of play 16th place in the 17-team Mountainview Collegiate. The Bears combined for a score of 616 (40-over) after the first two rounds.

 

Sophomore Hannah Burke turned in a team-best 71 in the first round, which tied her for sixth overall. Freshmen Lene Hafsten-Morch and Morgan Chambers carded scores of 77 and 82 respectively while senior Sian Reddick turned in an 80 and Kristen Hendrix turned in a 79 for combined team score of 307.

 

In the second round Hendrix turned in a team-best 74. Hafsten-Morch and Chambers carded scores of 80 and 76 respectively while Reddick turned in an 80, and Burke turned in a 79 for combined team score of 309.

 


 

 

Burke leads the Bears in individual performance, currently in a tie for 23rd. Hendrix is next, sitting in a tie for 53rd.

 

The Bears look to make up some ground Sunday, in the final round of the tournament.
