    Byron Scott, head coach of the NBA's New Orleans Hornets, is this week's BCA's Coach of the Week. Scott has led the New Orleans Hornets to 9 consecutive victories, and atop the Western Conference. This past week, Scott has led the Hornets to victories over some of the top teams in their conference, including the San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trailblazers.

    Byron Scott has served as the New Orleans Hornets head coach since 2004. Prior to coaching the Hornets, he was the head coach of the New Jersey Nets where he led the team to two trips the NBA Finals. Scott began his coaching career after 14 years as a player in the NBA with Los Angeles (1983-93, 1996-97), Indiana (1993-95) and Vancouver (1995-96). As a player, Scott won three NBA championships (1985, 1987, 1988) as a key member of the Los Angeles Lakers during the "Showtime" era.
