    Glen "Doc" Rivers, head coach of the NBA's Boston Celtics, is this week's BCA Coach of the Week.  Rivers has led the Boston Celtics to 10 consecutive victories, and atop the Eastern Conference.  During the ten game winning streak, Rivers has led the Celtics to victories over some of the top teams in the NBA, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Portland Trailblazers.

     

    Doc Rivers has served as the Boston Celtics head coach for four seasons.  In his first season as head coach of the Celtics, he led the team to an Atlantic Division title.  Prior to coaching the Celtics, he was the head coach of the Orlando Magic.  In 2000, Rivers won the NBA Coach f the Year award with the Magic.  Before his coaching career began, Rivers played 13 seasons in the NBA for the Atlanta Hawks (1983-84 to 1990-91), Los Angeles Clippers (1991-92), New York Knicks (1992-93 to 1993-94) and San Antonio Spurs (1994 to 1995-96).
