Trent Johnson, head men's basketball coach for Stanford University, is this week's BCA Coach of the Week.  Johnson has led Stanford to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.  In the tournament, Stanford has defeated Cornell and Marquette.  The victory over Marquette was the result of a last-second shot by Brooke Lopez with 1.3 seconds left in overtime.  This is the first time Stanford has qualified to the Sweet 16 since 2001.

Johnson has been the head coach of Stanford since 2004.  He has been the only head coach in school history to guide the school to the postseason in each of his first three seasons.  Prior to coaching Stanford, Johnson was the head coach of the University of Nevada where he is noted for revitalizing their program.  During the 2004 NCAA Tournament, Nevada posted upset victories over Michigan State and Gonzaga before being defeated by eventual national runner-up Georgia Tech in a regional semifinal game.
