Women's Golf To Compete in Cardinal Classic on Apr. 13-14

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team hits the road for the Cardinal Classic, a two-day event in Muncie, Ind., hosted by Ball State. Last Time Out All five Falcons had much better day two scores, highlighted by senior Jessica McCann. The Mason, Ohio native went 88-79-79 to finish in a tie for 46th. Fellow classmate Carley Hrusovsky matched McCann's pace, firing a 246 (87-81-78). Also competing for the Falcons were senior Lindsey Jonkhoff (88-81-79--248, 48th), senior Amanda Bader (91-81-87--259, 67th) and freshman Lauren Glew (94-84-83--261, 68th). Hrusovsky Earns Post Graduate Scholarship According to the NCAA.org website the Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship for Careers in Athletics programs were developed by the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics and the NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee. The NCAA awards 13 scholarships to ethnic minorities and 13 scholarships to female college graduates who will be entering their initial year of postgraduate studies. The applicant must be seeking admission or have been accepted into a sports administration or related program that will help the applicant obtain a career in intercollegiate athletics, such as athletics administrator, coach, athletic trainer or other career that provides a direct service to intercollegiate athletics. Hrusovsky, a native of North Canton, Ohio, has participated in all 16 rounds this season for the Orange and Brown, recording an 80.75 stroke average, second-best on the team. Her career numbers are just as impressive, participating in 93 rounds, while averaging 81.39 strokes per 18 holes of action. As good as all of those numbers are, the sport management major is even more impressive in the classroom, holding a 3.94 cumulative grade point average. Hrusovsky will be pursing a Masters of Business Administration degree at BGSU, while gaining experience with the athletic department for the 2008-09 academic season. Up Next
