Annual Volleyball Banquet Scheduled for April 13

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will host their 2007 Recognition Banquet on Sunday, April 13, at the Sky Bank Room in Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The evening's events will begin with a social at 12:30 p.m. with dinner and the program to follow at 1:00 p.m.

The cost to attend the banquet is $25 per person. Additional options include sponsoring a player ($25).

The Falcons finished the 2007 season 21-9 overall and 12-4 in the MAC, which marked the second straight season of 20 plus wins and the fourth consecutive winning season. In their 21 victories (12-1 in Anderson Arena) the netters set two BGSU records as a team and five BGSU records individually. For the second year in a row five Falcons received All-MAC honors. Falcon middle hitters, Senior Stephanie Swiger and junior Kendra Halm were both named first team All-MAC for the second consecutive season. Teammates junior Meghan Mohr and sophomore Corey Domek were named second team All-MAC with freshman setter Sam Fish rounding out the bunch for the Falcons on the All-MAC Freshman squad. Swiger and junior Chelsey Meek were honored for their achievements in the classroom and on the court as they were named to the 2007 Academic All-MAC team.
