Park Ridge, Ill. - On Friday, March 14, one lucky person will become the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament's One-Millionth Fan and win a special Big Ten prize pack. After welcoming nearly 970,000 patrons in its first decade, the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament will surpass the one-million barrier in total attendance during one of two sessions on Friday.

The 2008 event will be held from March 13-16 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.
 
Once the all-time attendance nears the one-million mark on Friday, one person will be randomly selected as the One-Millionth Fan. In honor of this landmark attendance achievement, the winning fan will receive four all-session tickets to the 2009 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament, a three-night stay at a selected hotel, two $300 airline vouchers from Gant Travel and a $150 gift certificate to the BigTenStore.com powered by TeamFanShop. In addition, the One-Millionth Fan will be honored with a halftime presentation on the court during the respective session.
 
The Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament has produced a total attendance of 969,038. The 2008 event returns to Conseco Fieldhouse, which produced packed houses in three of five sessions the last time the tournament was held in Indianapolis in 2006.
 
The Big Ten Conference is in the first of a five-year commitment that places both the men's and women's tournaments in Indianapolis through 2012.
