Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament Blog - GAME 4

Welcome to Indianapolis! Friday's second-round opener of the 2008 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament is set for Noon EDT. This game will feature the No. 1 seed and Big Ten champion Wisconsin Badgers (26-4, 16-2) against the No. 9 Michigan Wolverines (10-21, 5-13).

12:02 p.m. EDT: The lineups are in and we are set for a full day of Big Ten basketball!

1st, 16:19, TIMEOUT (MICH): Wisconsin 8, Michigan 0
With Wisconsin off the an impressive start, U-M's John Beilein is forced to call a 30-second timeout.

Wisconsin is 5-of-9 (.556) from the field, while Michigan is just 1-of-16 (.167). Manny Harris has all three of Michigan's points, which came off a 3-pointer, while the Badgers have four players in the current lineup that have each recorded a bucket.

Michigsn currently has co-scoring leaders with Deshawn Sims and Manny Harris with four points each. Wisconsin is led by Jason Bohannon with six points.

Michigsn is within eight points of the conference champion, but is still just 6-of-28 from the floor. Wisconsin is 10-of-24. The Badgers' Jason Bohannon leads the squad with seven points and Michigan is paced by Sims and Zack Gibson with six points each.

The Wolverines came out firing in the second half, cutting the Badger lead to three points. UW has answered back with the help of Michael Flowers and a big 3-pointer to halt Michigan's momentum. It's early, but Michigan tightened up its defense and has no fouls yet, while Wisconsin has been charged with three.

Michigan's shooting woes continue as the Wolverines are now 8-of-38 (21 percent) from the floor.

Wisconsin's Joe Krabbenhoft has reach double figures with 10 points and six rebounds. Marcus Landry is also having a solid all-around game with eight points and five rebounds.

Wisconsin's shooting percentage has declined from the first half. The Badgers are only 6-of-23 (.261) in the half and the last few routes on offense have led to shot-clock management. UW is getting Michigan to play the Badger game and soon the Wolverines will be forced to begin fouling and putting Wisconsin on the line.

FINAL: Wisconsin 51, Michigan 34
Michigan was just 4-of-22 in the second half and was unable to score for more than the final final four minutes of play. The Badgers outrebounded Michigan, 43-34, and netted 24 points in the point compared to Michigan's eight. UW's Krabbenhoft had a game-high 12 points, while Michigan's Anthony Wright led his team with 11.
